The lovely Wren over at Nonsense and Little Things has tagged me for a blog award. How nice.
What to do:
List 10 things that make you happy.
Try and do at least one of them today.
Tag 10 bloggers that brighten your day and let them know.
Link back to the person that tagged you.
To be honest, this hasn't particularly been a 'happy' day for me, so it's probably wise for me to have a think about what does make me happy and count my blessings as it were.
1. A good book
2. My blogging friends and the laughs we share
3. Wine night with hub
4. Peace and quiet
5. Being appreciated for the small things
6. My kids' excitement when the tooth fairy visits
7. BBC comedy programmes
8. When the cat chooses to sit on my knee (a very rare event)
9. A tasty meal I didn't have to cook
10. When hub does a housework job without being asked first
Nearly all my blogging friends have been tagged with this so I'll just put a couple who I don't think have had it:
Tracy and Chris.
Feel free to chip in with anything that makes you happy or pass the award along yourself :).

Hope your day improves. Very nice list. My cat would rather leap off the top of a tall building than sit on my. She will let you pet her IF she's in the mood, othewise she runs like mad in the other direction. I've learned not to take it personally. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Tam
ReplyDeleteThe cat hates me today cos I pounced on her whilst she was asleep, bundled her into her cat box and took her to the vets for an injection.
If I'm lucky she may allow me to stroke her again sometime next week!
Aw, thank you, Jen!!
ReplyDeleteReading and blog friends and kitties sitting on me are some of my favorite things, too.
Hmm. Maybe your vet preparation strategy needs a little tweaking. I'd be cross with you for longer than a week if you did that to me! ;)
Cat pouncing! *snicker*
ReplyDeleteIt is so fun to be referred to as "lovely".
Your hub actually does a housework job without being asked?
I hope your day got better!
ReplyDeleteLoved #4, 9 & 10
I make my daughter take Kitty to the vet so I'm still loved. I stay away from the carrier and I'm there to welcome her back. Works like a charm! ;)
I love such simple things. That's a heart-warming list, Jen.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm mystified by all the uppity cats running around. I've always had very affectionate cats (including the feral one whose trust it took me weeks to gain). Even my dogs liked them. Are Canadian and UK cats more reserved?
Damn, I didn't realize Tracy and Chris hadn't been tagged! If I'd been paying closer attention, I would've leapt at them. (No, wait; that's too fear-inspiringly close to a tackle hug.)
Good thing we have a Thanksgiving holiday in the US, or a lot of us might not be inclined to count our blessings, either. Here's hoping your days quickly get brighter. :-)
Um, I might've been tagged more than once now. :D Sooner or later, I will get to it!
ReplyDeleteHa! I knew it!
ReplyDelete#9 that is what my mum likes too :)
ReplyDeleteLate here
ReplyDeleteBut I can get with all your loves - Number 9 is very high on my wish list..
Very very high...
Happy day hon..

Gack I'm so behind! lol
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the award! You're so sweet.
