AWOL

Ok, I admit it, I've been totally AWOL this week.  There's a good reason.....well, there's a reason anyway.

It's this:

I've become totally addicted to playing Skyrim and I'm playing it a lot in my spare time.  Admittedly this isn't as much as I would like, because technically the XBox belongs to eldest son and he gets first dibs on playing, but it is still quite a chunk of time I usually spend blogging or reading.  It's been getting rather an obsession. You know it's bad when you start having Skyrim dreams, or lying awake trying to puzzle out how on Tamriel you can kill three major nasties whilst also avoiding being attacked by Druegars at the same time, just so you can forge an amulet.

However, I will try to resist a bit more this coming week. I have a couple of reviews to write for next week and an exciting announcement, so please forgive my absence this last week.

  1. Uh oh. LOL I've heard a video game unit is a slippery slope. So far I've avoided the PS3 crack. You just need to get to the end and then you'll be good to go. :-)

  2. Good luck fellow Skyrim addict!

I went back to Fallout 3 for a break from the swords.

  3. Tam: I'm not usually that interested in video games but this one presses all my fantasy buttons!

TP: Thanks! I love the swords (or in my case the battle axe - I'm a whizz at the two handed). I'm not so keen on guns because you need to be really precise - which is why I suck big time at archery!

  4. One of these days I will try a video game... *ducks*

    Happy playing :)

  5. There's a reason I don't install video games on my computer and don't own any gaming consoles. :) I have enough trouble with excessive Reversi, Mahjohnng, and Solitaire.

It also helps that I get motion sick from most console games. :)

  7. Freecell is enough for me most times. If not, I only play those find and seek games with or without extra puzzles

I totally default to the one handed waraxe everytime I play.

Oh and the Glass Waraxe is gorgeous. I play that till I can create a Daderic Waraxe which is my biggest baddest weapon.
